Aprašymas

2,500 questions celebrating everything that makes the North of England great

The Great Northern Quiz Book is the definitive quiz book for proud northerners: 2,500 questions spanning ancient history, the industrial revolution, literature, music and culture.

It consists of ten themed rounds of 250 questions each, covering the full sweep of northern English history and culture - from prehistoric settlement and Roman occupation through the Industrial Revolution, the suffragette movement, sport, music and film.

Each round features an editorial introduction, graded questions (some multiple-choice) and contextual answer commentary. It works simultaneously as a pub quiz resource, a browsable compendium of northern knowledge and the perfect gift for anyone who has ever argued about what to call a bread roll.

The north contains multitudes - mill towns and moors, Roman forts and recording studios, pit villages and Premier League stadiums - and this book attempts to honour that range in full.
